2026 Mite 2 Extended Season
The 2026 Mite 2 Extended Season is an optional 2 week program open to all Mite 2 players eligible to play Squirts next season. The program is designed to introduce/reintroduce players to full ice games and the rules of hockey. This program will be separate from current in-house teams/practices and will cost $65
Ages
Players must be registerered with GFYHA and current Mite 2 players. Players must be graduating to Squirts next season.
When
The program starts 02/16/26 and will finish on 02/28/26
Where
Teams will practice in Grand Forks and play games in both Grand Forks (Week 1) and Grafton (Week 2)
Practices
Practices will be on Mondays (2/16 & 2/23) and Wednesdays (2/18 & 2/25)
Games
The plan will be to have 4 equal teams and practice 2 times each week and play a Jamboree in Grand Forks on February 21 and 22 and a Jamboree in Grafton on February 28.
Jerseys
Players will receive a jersey to use for practices and games. The jersey must be returned following the final game.

The 2026 Mite 2 Extended Season Program
This Program will serve as a transition for Mite players eligible to play Squirts next year
-This program lasts 2 weeks and is totally optional (2/16/26 - 3/01/26)
-The idea is to Introduce/re-introduce players to full ice games and the rules of hockey
-Teams will be as equally competitive as possible (We are planning on rostering 4 teams)
-This program will be separate from current in-house teams/practices and will cost $65
-Teams will practice in Grand Forks and play games in both Grand Forks (Week 1) and Grafton (Week 2)
-Practices will be on Mondays (2/16 & 2/23) and Wednesdays (2/18 & 2/25)
-We will be using parent coaches
